Pisa was a wonderful place for a quick day trip from Florence. Many people recommend only taking a day trip over there but the city was nice enough that I could have stayed longer. It had far less tourists than Florence because most people only stop by for the day so the restaurants and shops away from the main road to the leaning tower were much more authentic which I really liked.
