Essaouira, Morocco

Essaouira is a quick bus trip from Marrakesh and is a beautiful sea side town. It was great for a few days but don’t stay for long. The town is really small and everything closes pretty early at night. The town is really popular with european tourists so expect to see a lot of them. Because of this the Essaouira also feels a lot more French than other parts of Morroco. There are many side walk cafes and restaurants and the food is different than what you find in Marrakesh.

I booked almost a week here and after the first day of exploring the city the next few were spent reading on my kindle at a cafe. Not that I am complaining, but it wasn’t the adventure that I was looking for. Its way more of a place to relax and unwind while on vacation.
