Bodrum, Turkey

Bodrum the party town that wasn’t. I left Fethiye thinking it would be great to visit another seaside town and this one was super famous for being a tourist spot. But my timing could not have been worse. It was the off season, late february so the town was practically deserted and mostly under construction.

When I arrived in town to go to my hostel I found out that it was also closed for renovations. The owner wasn’t really sure why I was there so out of season but he let me stay with him in the staff room for a few days. Which is its own story.

I ended up spending 3 days there before returning to Fethiye. I visited the castle and I explored the town as best as I could but as I said my timing was pretty bad. I had an awesome time staying in the hostel though and it really bad for a great experience and story. I really want to go back in season and stay with him again, all I got were stories about how amazing it is there during the summer and I believe him.
