Derry, North Ireland

When I learned about a chance to work at a hostel in Derry I jumped on it. Free accommodations and a tour of Ireland after I was done working just sounded awesome. The city its self is full of history being the site of Blood Sunday and home of the IRA. But you wont really experience things like that now since its mostly in the past. What you will find are incredibly friendly people and great pubs. I went to Derry just for the free room and free trip. But at the end of my two weeks there I had joined the family of the hostel staff and met tons of other travelers. It was incredibly hard to say good bye when it came time for me to move on.
