Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul was an awesome time. The people you met can make or break a trip and I met some of the best here. The city was amazing, the hostel was amazing. Its really one of the places I enjoyed the most during my trip. If you are looking for history you can find it, if you are looking for culture you can find it, even if you want to just party all night Istanbul seems to have it all and then some. I really found it to be the perfect mix of nightlife and culture that I was looking for.

I came to Istanbul twice and spent a little over a week here in total, but never felt like I ran out of things to do or see. I spent a day in the Grand Bazaar window shopping and having coffee at the cafes. The next going to the spice market, the Blue Mosque, and the Hagia Sophia. Even going to the old royal palace takes a full day. If you feel you have done it all it town then I recommend taking the ferry out to the Price Islands which is also a full day trip! Really the city is just so large and amazing that you just can’t do everything in a few days. Its a place you could come back to over and over again and always find something to do.

Once the sun goes down then you get to experience some of the best nightlife in the world. The bars and clubs are always packed with people and there is tons of late night food just outside their doors. This area was made to party! But what I loved the most was that there are different types of clubs here. Normal ones playing the popular english club music for the time and then turkish ones that play amazing music local to the area. Have you ever seen an entire nightclub almost belly dancing? Well I have and its amazing. I can’t wait to go back.
