Petra, Jordan

The world famous Petra and filming site of indiana jones and the last crusade! Ok well its more than just a place a lot of movies were made in, but tell the truth thats how you know of it.

Peta was incredibly cool and somewhere that you definitely have to see. It’s hard to describe but the city has an almost magical feel to it. Carved into the rocks are countless monuments and ancient homes. It’s something that you absolutely have to see to believe. Make sure you have plenty of time to visit all of the sites and walk the trails. If possible I would spend the night in Petra itself and spend two days at the site. The ticket for a one day pass costs the same as a today ticket. They charge more for the one-day ticket because of all of the tourists that come over from Sinai on the ferry and return back to Sinai the same day.

I took a taxi from Aqaba to Petra and it cost me about $35 for the taxi ride and then another $130 for the ticket itself. This is definitely the most expensive single ticket to any site that I ever visited but was well worth it.
